mix sesame paste with sesame oil first not water (it&#039;s every mom&#039;s secret : add sesame oil into the sesame paste bottle can loose the big hard lump).  I like to  put minced garlic in the water, so even you don&#039;t have garlic, still can get some garlic flavor from water. (it&#039;s an important flavor for cold noodle) also,  make some hot pepper oil for those who like si-chuan flavor (put red pepper powder, chopped cilantro or green onion, a little salt in the bowl, then add sizzling hot oil over it, mix &amp; let it cool down)   good job!</description>
